Raisel Iglesias

34-Year-Old PitcherRP
Atlanta Braves
2025 Fantasy Outlook
At age 34, Iglesias had one of the best seasons of his career, tying a career-high with 34 saves (5th in the league) while posting career-best marks in ERA (1.95) and WHIP (0.74). His strikeout rate (26.3%) was down compared to prior outputs as he generated fewer whiffs on his changeup and four-seamer, but his five percent walk rate was a top-15 mark among qualified relievers while his .156 batting average against ranked sixth. All four of Iglesias' offerings produced a .179 BAA or better. The veteran closer has been remarkably consistent throughout his 10-year career, constantly delivering ratios in line with his career 2.87 ERA and 1.05 WHIP, but with Iglesias entering his mid-to-late thirties, the downswing of his career may soon be on the horizon. He certainly warrants a selection as a top-10 closer for 2025, but as he enters the final year of his contract with Atlanta, he could become a trade candidate if the team does not perform to expectations.
