Jackson Rutledge

Rutledge spent most of the 2024 campaign at Triple-A Rochester and had a rough go of it there, posting a 6.40 ERA and 13.7 percent walk rate over 27 starts. The 2019 first-round pick has a 10.9 percent walk rate in the minors, and a middling 22.9 percent strikeout rate hasn't been enough to overcome the wildness. Rutledge is well down the rotation pecking order for the Nationals, and that, combined with the poor control, might point to a future in relief. He looks like a long shot at this point to be a factor in fantasy, regardless of what role he fills. Read Past Outlooks
