Jackson Rutledge Injury: Released by Phillies

The Phillies released Rutledge (undisclosed) on Tuesday.

Rutledge had been designated for assignment, and the Phillies have elected to cut him loose after he cleared waivers. The righty was a waiver claim by Philadelphia in early May and hadn't pitched since late May due to an undisclosed injury. The 27-year-old holds a career 6.29 ERA and 88:34 K:BB over 103 innings covering parts of four big-league seasons.
