George Valera News: Clears waivers
The Guardians outrighted Valera to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Valera cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last weekend and will end up sticking around in the Cleveland organization as outfield depth at Triple-A. The 25-year-old had previously logged 38 plate appearances with the Guardians on the season, slashing .216/.237/.297 with six RBI and one run.
